[squid-users] squid stopped working after kernel update and reboot

telnet says no route to host, i uninstalled iptables from tumbleweed but 
with no help. telnet from the squid machine to itself on the ethernet ip 
works fine. telnet from a trusted host to the nrpe port stopped working 
too, so seems to be a non squid issue, has anybody encountered this?
